2. Raw Oreos:

Do you like Oreos? Have you ever thought of making it at home instead of going and buying it and you did it 1 hour after the preparation time? Let’s see a recipe that gives you the best raw Oreos flavor with all easily available ingredients. We will need (for 35 cookies):

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • organic powder sweetener (Remember: wet sweeteners will cause the mixture to hold)

Ingredients for Cookies:

  • 1 1/2 cups raw almonds or walnuts (or you can mix both)
  • 6-7 whole dates (pitted // if the dates are dry, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain)
  • 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (to sweeten – optional)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of sea salt

Method:

  • Let’s start by mixing coconut oil with vanilla extract and sweetener (here, maple syrup), cocoa powder and salt, mix well and set aside.
  • Now, finely grind the nuts until small pieces remain, then add the coconut oil, dates, maple syrup, cocoa powder and salt and mash well until mixed. The mixture should have the consistency of dough that stays together when pressed.
  • In this step, you can taste the mixture and add more flavorings as needed – more salt for saltiness, maple syrup for more sweetener, or more cocoa powder for chocolate flavor.
  • Then take a large cutting board, put greaseproof paper on it, put the dough in the middle and press it with your hand until it reaches the size of a 1-inch disc. Now place another piece of parchment paper on it.
  • Now roll the dough with the help of a rolling pin until it is 1/4 inch thick rectangle. Now remove the parchment paper from the top and take a small round cookie cutter and start cutting as many round cookies as you can (about 70 pieces here). Make sure there are equal numbers of pieces.
  • Use a flat spatula to transfer the cookies and place the cookies on a flat surface such as a tray or plate. Slide the cookies in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes until they are hard.
  • Now take half of the cookies and start pouring 1 teaspoon of coconut oil on it. Then put it back in the freezer for a few minutes until the butter hardens and is no longer runny.
  • Now fill the next half with cookies and press lightly to stick. Then you can pour melted chocolate (as in the photo) on it for a more chocolatey tooth.
  • Enjoy the cookies or you can put them back in the freezer to rest. REMEMBER: Cookies will begin to soften if kept at room temperature for more than 30 minutes.

This dish will last 1 week if stored in the refrigerator and 1 month if kept in the freezer. You can also make Oreo sticks from the remaining dough, garnish with coconut oil and let it cool, then cut it vertically and enjoy!!
